The City of Helsingborg boasts a number of sustainability projects and attractions to visitors. The new CHP plant Filbornaverket will start to deliver heat and power in the winter of 2012/2013. This plant will use cutting edge technology for waste incineration to deliver 40% of the heating needs of Helsingborg and power for 6000 houses. At the same time the city development project of the H+ area around the ocean harbor is in full swing. Apart from the aspect of green city development, this project includes revising the plans for the tunnels and roads leading up to the ferry and coach terminal Knutpunkten where the ferries depart for Denmark.
